Twelve Issues

One upload. One year of newsletters.

Upload your book and get 12 reader newsletters pulled from your own pages: the story behind the story, characters up close, the research that did not fit, and a friendly reminder to buy.

Write my 12 issues $12 for all twelve. A dollar an issue.
A year of subject lines from a small-town romance Just examples. Twelve Issues works with every genre, fiction or nonfiction.

Your readers forget you between books. A monthly email fixes that.

Every author hears it: build your list, email your readers. The hard part is month four, when you have nothing new to announce and a blank draft staring back.

Your book already holds a year of material. Twelve Issues finds it, plans it so nothing repeats, and writes every issue in your voice. You copy, paste, and send.

    How it works

    1. Upload your book

PDF, Word, EPUB, or plain text. Answer a few optional questions about your readers and where to buy.

    2. We plan the year

We read the whole book, choose twelve angles worth writing about, and match them to the season. No spoilers for the big twists.

    3. Send one a month

Copy each issue into Mailchimp, Kit, MailerLite, or Substack, or download all twelve at once. Edit anything.

    Real letters, not filler

Each issue comes with a subject line written to be opened, preview text, a headline, 350 to 550 words, and one clear link to your book.

Everything is drawn from your pages, so it sounds like you and the facts stay true to your story.

Here is January from the romance example above.

It started on a diner napkin at the lake.

It started with a porch light

Before I knew their names, I had one sentence: she left the porch light on for six years. I wrote it on a diner napkin at the lake and carried it in my coat pocket all summer.

That light became Nora’s whole story. Jake is the one who finally noticed it.

If you have read Porch Light Season, you know what happens when he climbs those steps. If you have not, the light is still on.

    Questions authors ask

    Will it spoil my plot?

No. We plan around your major twists and endings and write the way you would talk to readers who have not finished yet. Tell us anything that is off limits and we will leave it out.

Does it work for my genre?

Yes. Romance, mystery, fantasy, sci-fi, horror, thrillers, historical, literary, children’s and YA all work, and so do devotionals, how-to, history, memoir, and business books. Nonfiction issues lean on key ideas, stories, and practical takeaways from the book.

I write a series. Can it mention my other books?

Yes. List them when you set up your project and the issues will point readers to the rest of the series at natural moments.

    Is my manuscript safe?

Your files are read in your own browser and only the text is sent to us. We use it to write your issues and nothing else. It is never used to train AI models, and we delete it on request.

Which email service does it work with?

All of them. Copy an issue into Mailchimp, Kit, MailerLite, Substack, or plain Gmail, or download every issue as Markdown or email-ready HTML.

Do I have to send them monthly?

Monthly is the default, and issues are tied to the season. You can choose weekly or every two weeks when you set up your book.

Your book already has a year of newsletters in it.
